Only ONE student per CPS high school may be nominated.  Scholarship Description: The Leaders and Achievers Scholarships are one-time awards in the amount of $1,000 for use toward college costs and expenses. Scholarship awards are nonrenewable and are not based on financial need. Comcast Leaders and Achievers

 Website:  Scholarship Description: The Elk Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest- rated applicants in the 2014 competition. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.  Scholarship Qualifications: Be of Hispanic heritage, Be a U.S. Citizen, legal permanent resident or an eligible non- U.S. citizen, Be a graduating high school senior with plans to enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four- year or two-year accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. VII or Guam during the academic year, Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0/4.0, Must be eligible to receive a Pell grant, Must write a maximum 250 word essay telling us about your high school journey and how making breakfast with milk part of your routine (or daily routine) has helped you succeed  Open to DREAMers: No  Scholarship Deadline: This scholarship has a December deadline.  Website:  Scholarship Description: Beginning in May of their junior year and continuing through November of their senior year, any Illinois high school student who is interested in a teaching career is eligible for the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program. Golden Apple Scholars receive tuition assistance of $2,500 per year for freshmen and sophomore years and $5,000 per year for junior and senior years. Golden Apple Scholars

In partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the program aims to award educational grants to eligible Hispanic students in the U.S. pursuing higher education.  Scholarship Description: Ronald McDonald House Charities offer scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.  Website:  Scholarship Description: Scholarship consideration is given only to newly admitted first-year students graduating from an Illinois high school. Consideration is based on a combination of factors including high school record, standardized test scores, and a comprehensive review of all application materials. Additionally, candidates must be from one of the following: (a) a low-sending Illinois county to the University of Illinois, (b) a family which is not expected to contribute to the cost of their dependent student’s education as verified through the financial aid application process or (c) member of a historically underrepresented group. University of Illinois at Chicago President’s Award Program

 Website:  Scholarship Description: Students must be juniors in HS, have played at least 2 seasons on an Olympic or Paralympics sport, and demonstrate Olympic virtues of excellence, friendship, and respect. Scholars will also be eligible to compete for one of sixteen renewable college scholarships worth up to $10,000 annually ($40,000 total).
