Set up domestic sites. Remove the ban applied for offshore drilling sites. Production increment from Bakkan Shale and ANWR. Explore alternative fuel resources

Pros - Boost in Economy. - Reduction in oil price. - Refinery expansion. - Increase in employment opportunities. Cons - Long waiting time for the results. - Reduction in development of alternate energy.

Will the US dependency on foreign oil companies be reduced with offshore drilling? Will the fuel price at the pump reduction be guaranteed with offshore drilling? Will there be increased oil spill with offshore drilling in the US? Will there be increased carbon emissions?

Will there be negative impacts on environment with offshore drilling? Will the offshore drilling be more of political interest rather than providing solutions? Will offshore drilling be solution to the US energy crisis? Friend or Enemy? Will the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Disadvantages: If no drilling is done:  Dependency on foreign oil continues  Less control in terms of oil pricing at the pump  Trade deficit continues to increase  Lack of new job creation and stimulation of economy  Dependency on foreign oil continues  Less control in terms of oil pricing at the pump  Trade deficit continues to increase  Lack of new job creation and stimulation of economy  Become self-reliance in terms of oil  Can have control on oil pricing  Reduction in trade deficit  Opportunities of new jobs and thus economy boosts  Become self-reliance in terms of oil  Can have control on oil pricing  Reduction in trade deficit  Opportunities of new jobs and thus economy boosts Advantages: If drilling is done:

 National voting on the oil issue rather than congress deciding on the matter  Governmental laws and regulations establishment allowing States to choose the drilling areas for oils within its borders  Tax breaks for oil companies so as to create job opportunities along with domestic oil production  Address environmental (EPA) issues and take mitigating actions  National voting on the oil issue rather than congress deciding on the matter  Governmental laws and regulations establishment allowing States to choose the drilling areas for oils within its borders  Tax breaks for oil companies so as to create job opportunities along with domestic oil production  Address environmental (EPA) issues and take mitigating actions

What to do? How to do? Who is to do?  Launch energy movement in the nation so as to reduce the risk involved in energy sector and to boost up the declining economy of the U.S.  Create balance of oil production with alternative sources of energy as well as efficient energy management  Provide incentives for drilling  Explore and expand own natural and gas resources  Collaborate with EPA to protect the interests and health of our environment  Easy and user-friendly regulations  Economic incentives for constructing enhanced buildings and machines.  Empowerment of private enterprises & corporations.  Enable competition and/or free markets.

 DRILLING – the final resolution to the problem  Reduce foreign dependency and OPEC pricing  Opportunities for new jobs  Economic Stimulation  Lower fuel cost at the pump  Reduce sending money overseas oil companies
