A New Commandment John 13:34 NKJV “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”  Love different from Law of Moses - Lev. 19:18  New in – breadth – width – scope  Includes all men – good, bad, enemies, friends  Love as He loved us

Badge of Discipleship John 13:35 NKJV “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Not trying to neglect plan of salvation / clean living World will judge quality of our Christianity by our love for others! Romans 12:10 NKJV “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;”

Fervent in Your Love Everyone is not easy to love Fervent in our love = unfailing Love covers a multitude of sins Gal. 6:1-2 Overtaken in a fault - Restore in spirit of meekness Bear one another’s burdens Jas. 5:19-20 “hide a multitude of sins”

What Is Love ? More than just an emotional attachment “Love is a genuine concern for the good of another” Love is more than just promises – it is action 1 John 3:18 “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
