+ Racial Profiling

+ What Is Racial Profiling? The Societies definition:” discriminatory practice by law enforcement officials of targeting individuals for suspicion of crime based on the individual's race, ethnicity, religion or national origin” - justice/racial-profiling-definition The opinion of a police officer : does not agree with Racial profiling and is against the idea of racism taking place in Rowan county. “Personally I don’t Tolerate profiling on race alone, I train new officers and this is a topic I discuss with them” - Officer Christopher W. Hamilton

+ Tragic things happen to the wrong people…. The 9/11 Attack : After this terrible event the Arabs, Muslims and southern Asians have been threatened and are always being targeted because of their race. People think just because of their race and color of their skin that they are connected to the attack that was held against the World trade Center and the Pentagon. The Michael Brown case : The shooting of Michael brown has brought tons of people together because of the lack of information from the police force. They think it’s unfair. Because Michael was an unarmed teenager that was shot by a police officer who was accused of racial profiling.

+ Types of events that have happened throughout years….. The Trayvon Martin Case : Martin was a 17-year-old African American. He was fatally shot by George Zimmerman.Zimmerman said that he thought Martin was going to attack him so he shot him. martin-case/
