Chi Trinh Email: frwpchi@hotmail.com   Can’t speak English My name is Chi. I am Vietnamese. My English is not good. I am a student at Flemington Reading and Writing Program. I remember when I read the timetable that I had two hours computer I was worried because my English is not good enough for study. The first time I went to the computer class I felt nervous and I went home with a headache. Because I tried to learn so hard. Now I can use the computer and I can send the email to my friend too. I would like to say thanks to the Teacher of the Reading and Writing Program. They gave me a chance to learn, and thanks very much to Manrico for teaching me about computer.

A Learning experience about computer.   My name is Rosa Mezzalira. My experience about computer, I have come to English school last year, Because I didn’t know anything how to write in English, I did know little how to read English. So this year I have started to learn computer, the first time I have touch a computer I didn’t know which was which, so for the first few time I was staring at the keyboard, and I said to myself how on earth I am going to remember all these? So after few lesson it seemed that every time it’s easier, so now I can do lots of thing like Email- Attachments, Saving the work, scan photos. So it’s such wonderful an Experience for me, especially I found very interesting to E-Mail and send photo, I really love learning about computer, and I want first of all to thank my teacher Manrico, and the other teachers, and all the staff involved at the Neighbourhood House.

FIRST TIME PROJECT    The first time is very daunting, if you are interested in learning about computers you can go to your local library and get information from there or enrol in a beginners course.   The vastness of the world wide web known as www is so unbelievable and the speed of which you can make contact with others around the world.

RETURNING TO WORK   Are you a mum thinking of returning to work? Do you need computer skills? Are you frightened of computers? Does their power scare you? Does the fact that you have been out of the workforce make you feel powerless to learn? Has your experience of motherhood and time away from work made you feel isolated and removed from the ever-advancing technology? Is your fear of failure stopping you from taking the first step? Is it stopping you from enrolling in a computer course?

Coping with a Learning Disability... Our names are Phillip Hatziandreas and Elizabeth Lynch. We have both have learning disabilities. We had both really had hard times, but we had both have stayed with the working with computers. Really we both enjoy working with computers now. We are saying to you, that is to have a go on computers.   Don’t worry about that you have a disability. We would really like it that you have a try at computers now. Phillip and I are now really now really happy that we have stay at it persevering with the computers.   From Phillip and Elizabeth.
