Trademarks A word, name or symbol that represents the company that created the product – Can be title, slogan or other short phrase Prevent others from using a similar trademark Register with Patent and Trademark Office

Patents Grants the rights of an invention to its creator Patent and Trademark Office Prevents others from making, using, selling or reselling an invention
