Topic  - World War I – Treaty of Versailles. Our main objective was to test the knowledge of our classmates, family, and friends. My question is about the Treaty of Versailles, which was signed on the 28 th of June 1919 in the hall of Mirrors at Versailles. I have chosen this topic because it’s not a common question, yet, it is very important since it formally marked the end of World War 1. When considering the Treaty of Versailles, it’s not a very common subject that each and everybody will know about and only those who have reviewed this topic or have studied it thoroughly will remember the date and the location of where the treaty was signed

Analysis To begin with, the general overview of the results and data collected consisted of either the second option, which was the 28 th of June 1919 at the Versailles Palace with 15 votes and 44% of the people, or the fourth option, which was ‘I don’t know’ with 11 votes and 32% of the people. The main reason as to why ‘I don’t know’ was part of the four options was because we are testing the knowledge of the people, and sometimes, the people who may not know the answer will chose the right answer by mere luck and therefore will give us inaccurate data. The least answer that was chosen with only 3 votes and 9% of the people who voted, was June 30 th, 1918 in Germany, which gives us a clear inference that people are aware that the treaty of Versailles did not happen in Germany, hence it’s name ‘ Versailles’. By looking at each country, Qatar has gotten the most votes with 33% of the people choosing the second option (the correct answer) and 33% of the people choosing ‘I don’t know’. I can assume that the 33% who have chosen the 28 th of June 1919 in Versailles Palace are the students at Qatar Academy whom I have personally asked to vote, and since they are currently studying about World War 1, it won't be unusual for them to choose the correct answer. Also, because Qatar has gotten the most votes, and they are mostly students at Qatar Academy, we can estimate the majority of the 44% of the entire twtpoll who got the answer correct are from Qatar Academy. As for the other 28% who have chosen June 27th, 1918 in Paris, France, I believe that they might have some sort of background information on the topic or at least know where the Versailles Palace is to give them a hint as to where the Treaty actually happened. As for the votes from the United Kingdom, 4 people have voted for the correct answer while 3 didn’t know and one voted for the 3 rd option; June 30th, 1918 in Germany, which is quite surprising because the name of the treaty clearly states that it did not happen in Germany, and since they are from the UK, they should know that the Versailles Palace is not in Germany. As for the Philippines, there were a total of 3 votes; therefore, we can’t make a good conclusion. However, 2 people have chosen the correct answer, which means they have probably studied about World War 1, but what was surprising was that the third person had chosen the least expected answer about the Treaty being in Germany. Lastly, there was some votes from other parts of the world which were either ‘I don’t know’ or have chosen the correct answer. In general, we can conclude that the majority of people who have voted did know about where and when the treaty was signed, but with an almost equal amount of people not knowing either. I believe that this is a matter of memory, and at one point, the people who have been educated have learned about it in the past but has forgotten over the years.
