Do you know that: The Bulgarian language is Indo-European language of South Slavic group of languages.

Bulgarian was the first Slavic language attested in writing. The development of the Bulgarian language may be divided into several periods:

Prehistoric period (until 9 century) It occurred between the Slavonic migration to eastern Balkans and the mission of Saints Cyril and Methodius to Great Moravia in the 860s.Saints Cyril and Methodius

Old BulgarianOld Bulgarian (9th to 12th century) The beginning of the Old Bulgarian language is placed with the creation (862 or 863) of the alphabet (Glagolitic, also known as Glagolitsa) by Saints Cyril and Methodius.
