Review: What is Lent? Three traditional practices of Lent are: 1. prayer (justice towards God) 2. fasting (justice towards self) 3. giving to the poor (justice towards neighbor) Some believers choose to give up a vice, add something to their life that will bring them closer to God, and often give the time or money spent on vices to church or other charitable purposes.
