Ben Franklin and Electricity By Tara Enneking and Taylor Cheatwood

Ben Franklin Ben discovered electricity with a kite and lightning. He was with his son when he discovered it. When he discovered it, he was 42. Ben was born in Massachusetts. He knocked himself unconscious at least once doing this experiment.

There are 3 reasons why Ben’s discovery is magical and marvelous to us!!!

Reason 1 It would be hard to survive today without electricity. We couldn’t use microwaves or ovens. There would be very little light to see at night. It would be hard to research to learn new things so you can get a good job.

Reason 2 There would not much fun. There would be no video games. There would be no computers or laptops. There would be no iPods

Reason 3 There would be no clocks to tell time. For parties it would be hard to know when to go and leave. You would not know what time school starts and ends.
