2 ATTREX Payloads

3 ATTREX Instrument Arrangement on Aircraft 2014 Manifest

EAFB ATTREX Flights Flights over 4 weeks (2/5 – 3/1)

5 Integration, Testing, Safety

Hangar Operations (B4840) 6

Two new instruments added last year –NOAA Water, Picarro –However, integration went very smoothly Integration for 2014 Mission –Adding Hawkeye Pod Wing Mount in-work, Hawkeye Pod Flight to occur prior to ATTREX Team arrival –All instruments will be required to repeat Wt. & SIL Bench Testing Integration will occur in “new” B4840 Hangar –Payload Support Area is larger –Separated from Aircraft Maintenance Area /14 Payload Integration

Hawkeye Pod in

“New” GH Hangar (B-4840) 9

GH Payload Area (B-4840) 10

Six Science Flights –Conducted over a four week period Significant Progress Made with Flight into Cold Air and with Multiple Vertical Profiling Maneuvers/Flt. –NGC and DFRC Reviews cleared op’s to colder T’s –Lower Freezing-point Fuel made a significant difference –Additional Reviews in Work Review of clearing Spoiler actuators to colder temp in work Review of cold-temperature cycling in work FAA/R2508 Laser-approval Progress for CPL –We have received approval for laser op’s in R2508 –We have received approval for laser op’s over land 11 Flight Operations

Guam Operations –Weekly meetings, Site Visits –NGC Nose-gear Study in work –Shipping arrangements –GH Team, Travel –Flight Op’s Use of PMOF from Guam during Range Flight –Need for split Instrument Team’s initially All Payload Op’s from Guam Effect of Gov’t Shutdown on schedule 12 Flight Operations
