Sir Walter Raleigh Born:1552 Died: Oct. 29, 1618

“The Artist” Sir Walter wrote poetry to Elizabeth I while being held in London Tower and got released, and was later re-arrested and eventually beheaded for treason.

The Soldier and Adventure Seeker  Raleigh put down an Irish rebellion at Ulster in  Took over the town of Gadiz in1596.  Colonized Roanoke and explored Trinidad.  Raleigh lived a full life as a soldier, explorer, philosopher, astronomer, writer, and scientist.
