5310 GRANT WRITING ASSISTANCE Each year, approximately 20 social service transportation providers in Los Angeles County apply for section 5310 grants to replace or purchase accessible vans and buses, communication equipment and computer hardware and software. CTSA assists them in their coordination portion of the application and a letter certifying their coordination activities.
Specialized Transportation Roundtables RTPA, CTSA and Caltrans conducts joint workshops with 5310 applicants by providing: Technical Assistance Provide networking and coordination opportunties Specialized Training workshops Supporting RTPA to add 5310 application online

The areas of training include: Training for Specialized Transportation Providers − CTAA’s Certified Community Manager and Certified Community Supervisor − Transit and Paratransit Management Program by University of Pacific − Substance Abuse − Technology − Coordinated Mobility Management − Legislative Outreach − ADA Paratransit Eligibility − Funding and Regulations
