 “Success” is defined as helping students transfer and graduate.  Eliminate reliance on static, printed transfer agreements.  Transfer agreements should involve the multiple entities impacting students.  Successful transfer programs should benefit all so they will be supported, promoted and sustained.

 Community Colleges provide students with the associate degree and the first two years of the bachelor’s degree.  u.select is used to facilitate transfer advising to effectively and efficiently assist students in achieving their educational goals.  Baccalaureate institutions build on that foundation to provide the students a degree in their chosen major.  Student is the beneficiary.

 114 years of urban, Catholic, Vincentian tradition  Today, enrollment of 25,000 students  10 colleges and 5 campuses in Chicagoland area  Largest & fastest growing Catholic university in U.S.  9th largest private not-for-profit university

 DAPP was created to increase the services and programs for our transfer students by building on our existing relationships, internally and externally.  DAPP is a program for students who choose to begin their DePaul bachelor’s degree at a community college.  External relationships included Harper College and u.select.  Multiple offices and departments within DePaul have active roles in DAPP.

 Comprehensive community college serving communities in the northwest suburbs of Chicago  16,000 students enrolled  7 Associate Degrees and various Certificates available  Nearly 50% of students intend to transfer to a 4-year college and complete a baccalaureate degree

 u.select provides access to the most up-to-date and accurate information for prospective transfer students  students can see how their courses will transfer, view remaining degree requirements, and get the course numbers to fulfill those remaining requirements  Takes the guesswork out of transfer planning
