Circumvent the adversity

The capacity of humans to overcome adversity is unbelievable. E certain examples show that the human being not yet discovered everything of that is capable.

Also they serve of examples for our lives. One of these is a great Brazilian pianist Joao Carlos Martins.

He began studying piano at 8 years of age. After 9 months of lesson, with praise, it won the competition of the Bach Society of São Paulo. A prodigy.

Quickly he developed a career of international pianist. He touched in the main rooms of concert of the world.

Devoted to the work of Bach. In the apex of the fame, suffered a great accident. Playing soccer, his other passion besides music, fell over the arm. The accident deprived the movement of the hand...

For any person, a tragedy. For he, a total disaster. But he did not consider itself defeated

It was submitted the surgeries painful, sessions of physiotherapy, injections in the palm of the hand.

and returned to the piano and the best rooms of concert. With pain and passion.

But the persistence of Martins would come back to be tested. Years later, victim of an assault in Bulgaria, violently was attacked.

As a result, has affected the movement of both hands.

To recover their tools of work, back rooms for surgery and physiotherapy.

Martins came back one more time to the loved piano. Finally, in 2002,ocurred a worsening of the injuries. The paralysis definitively dominated his two hands.

It was the end of a grand pianista. It moved away from the piano, but not of its great passion, music.

At 63 years of age, was studying regency. Two years later guided the Chamber Orchestra of English in London.

In a concert in São Paulo surprised another time. He conducted the Nineth Symphony of Beethoven only with the use of the memory.

He needed decorate all the notes of the workmanship for being incapable to turn the page of the partitura. The auditorium applauded very!

But João Carlos Martins still has one more surprise to the public for the same night.

Asked to ascend a piano through the elevator of palco. E with only three fingers that still had, it touched a part of Bach.

The Aria of the Fourth Chord was originally written for violin. It is a musical piece in which the violinist uses only the string sun to run the beautiful melody.

Well, Martins played to the piano with three fingers.

And although it is not the intention, the impression is that all persons that were at the concert were admired with the greatness of John Carlos Martins..

Like Martins, there are many examples. People that even with all the problems and difficulties, not discouraged in the face of adversity.

We remember of Beethoven, composer, losing the hearing and nor therefore it left to compose.

Of Helen Keller, blind, deaf, dumb, were the first person with triple deficiency to obtain a university heading. Orator, spokesman of the deficient, writer. Thinks about this and not if never discourages with the adversity.

Think: you can win. Win!!!!! visit: and see more.
