St Cyril Of Alexandria On Jn 1:12  we too shall be sons of God, not like Him in exactitude, but by grace in imitation of Him. For He is Very Son, existing from the Father; we adopted by His Kindness, through grace receiving I have said, Ye are gods and all of you are children of the Most High.

Neil Anderson PP20  We cannot do anything to qualify for unconditional and voluntary love. We labor under the false assumption that if we live perfectly everybody will accept us, while there was One who lived His Life perfectly, and everyone rejected him.

1- I am God’s Child  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Jn 1:12

 For since they received the Son through faith, they receive the power to be ranked among the sons of God. For the Son gives what is His alone and specially and of nature to be in their power, setting it forth as common, making this a sort of image of the love for man that is inherent to Him, and of His love for the world. For in none other way could we who bore the image of the earthy escape corruption, unless the beauty of the image of the heavenly were impressed upon us, through our being called to Sonship. For being partakers of Him through the Spirit, we were sealed unto likeness with Him and mount up to the primal character of the Image after which the Divine Scripture says we were made. 2- I am Christ’s Friend  No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. Jn 15:15

St Cyril On Jn 15:15  The reward of friendship with God which was then seen in Abraham first is intimately conjoined with the freedom which comes by faith, and now also it is seen in the holy disciples as the firstfruits of a new generation.

3- I have been Justified  Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom 5:5

St Cyril of Alexandria This excerpt from Saint Cyril of Alexandria's commentary on the Second Letter to the Corinthians (Cap. 5, 5-6, 2: PG 74, )  Since Christ has in this way become the source of life for us, we who follow in his footsteps must not think of ourselves as living in the flesh any longer, but as having passed beyond it. Saint Paul’s saying is absolutely true that when anyone is in Christ he becomes a completely different person: his old life is over and a new life has begun. We have been justified by our faith in Christ and the power of the curse has been broken. Christ’s coming to life again for our sake has put an end to the sovereignty of death.

4- I am united with the Lord and one with Him in Spirit  But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. I Cor 6:17

St Cyril Of Alexandria This excerpt from Saint Cyril of Alexandria's Commentary on the Gospel of John (Lib. 4, 2: PG 73, )  When the life-giving Word of God dwelt in human flesh, he changed it into that good thing which is distinctively his, namely, life; and by being wholly united to the flesh in a a way beyond our comprehension, he gave it the life-giving power which he has by his very nature. Therefore, the body of Christ gives life to those who receive it. Its presence in mortal men expels death and drives away corruption because it contains within itself in his entirety the Word who totally abolishes corruption.

5- I belong to God  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. I Cor 6:20

6- I am a member of the body of Christ  Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. I Cor 12:27

7- I am a saint  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Eph 1:1

St Cyril Of Alexandria This excerpt from Saint Cyril of Alexandria's Commentary on the Gospel of John (Lib. 4, 2: PG 73, )  Yet we know that Christ offered his flesh for the life of the world from his own prayer, Holy Father, protect them, and from his words, For their sake I consecrate myself. By saying that he consecrates himself he means that he offers himself to God as a spotless and sweet- smelling sacrifice

8- I have been adopted as God’s Child  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, Eph1:5

9 – I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit  For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Eph 2:18

ST Cyril of Alexandria This excerpt from Saint Cyril of Alexandria's commentary on the Second Letter to the Corinthians (Cap. 5, 5-6, 2: PG 74, )  Those who have a sure hope, guaranteed by the Spirit, that they will rise again lay hold of what lies in the future as though it were already present. They say: “Outward appearances will no longer be our standard in judging other men. Our lives are all controlled by the Spirit now, and are not confined to this physical world that is subject to corruption. The light of the Only-begotten has shone on us, and we have been transformed into the Word, the source of all life. While sin was still our master, the bonds of death had a firm hold on us, but now that the righteousness of Christ has found a place in our hearts we have freed ourselves from our former condition of corruptibility”.

10 – I am been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1:14

11- I am complete in Christ  and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col 2:10
