International-exchange Programs Academic partnerships with 211 universities and institutions in 53 countries. 1,944 international students from 102 countries. Scholarships Japanese Government offers scholarships to overseas students who wish to study in Japan. Applications for the scholarships are made either through Japanese embassies overseas or through a university in Japan. “Tsukuba Scholarship“ is our own financial support for excellent international students who enter Global 30 Programs at the undergraduate level. Japanese Student Services Organizations (JASSO) and other private foundations are also available.
