April M. Rogers ITEC 7132 Fall 2007

Prioritized List of Items Requested: 1)Classroom Performance System 2)Camcorders for student use 3)Scanners (one for student use in the media center and one for teachers in the teacher work room)

1 st Priority: Classroom Performance System Teachers indicated a need for a Classroom Performance System (CPS) in survey Enhances instruction by allowing all students to participate Provides immediate feedback for students and teachers Quizzes could be done using a CPS decreasing the amount of paperwork for teachers Less paper work gives teachers more time to plan effective lessons

2 nd Priority: Camcorders (digital) Teachers, students, and media specialist indicated a need for more camcorders Teachers allowing students to create videos for some performance assessments Students like making the videos. Students prefer watching student-made videos over typical PowerPoint presentations Videos can also be incorporated into PowerPoint presentations

3 rd Priority: Scanners Some students identified a need for a scanner to be available in the media center in survey. We have one scanner available in the media center work room, but it is not accessible to students. Some teachers indicated that they would also like a scanner on their hallway work room which is closer to their classrooms than the media center.
