1. Mrs. Mileur went on a vacation up north this summer. She put 1,214 miles on her car getting to her destination. It took her two days to get there. The first day she drove 653 miles. About how many miles did Mrs. Mileur drive on the second day? 2. Mrs. Dorminy made cookies for the school picnic. She made a total of 932 cookies. (Wow!!) 486 of the cookies were chocolate chip. The rest were sugar cookies. How many sugar cookies did Mrs. Dorminy make? 3. Mrs. Plunk saved $2,672 last year to buy her daughter’s new school clothes and supplies. She and her daughters went shopping in August. They spent $1,988 on supplies and clothes. How much money did Mrs. Plunk have left to save for her next year? 4.Mrs. Ruiz loves to play games at the arcade. On Saturday she played and won 976 tickets. She decided to saved her tickets and go back to the arcade on Sunday to play some more games. This time she won 998 tickets. She combined her tickets from Saturday and Sunday to buy a special prize. How many total tickets did Mrs. Ruiz win for both days ?
