MISS PORTER’S CLASSROOM HANDBOOK GRANDVIEW ELEMENTARY

MY GOALS FOR THE YEAR TO GIVE EACH STUDENT THE ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL SKILLS TO PROGRESS TO FIFTH GRADE. TO CREATE A CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT THAT IS WELCOMING, SAFE, AND FUN. TO GIVE EACH INDIVIDUAL STUDENT THE TOOLS AND SUPPORT TO REACH THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL. TO HAVE A FUN AND SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN 4 TH GRADE!

CLASSROOM RULES AND EXPECTATIONS BE PREPARED BE POSITIVE BE PRODUCTIVE BE POLITE BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

BEHAVIOR PLAN OUR CLASSROOM WILL HAVE A MOVE UP AND A MOVE DOWN CHART. THE CHARTS WILL BE SEPARATE. THEY WILL MOVE ACCORDING TO THE CHOICES THEY MAKE. EACH DAY THEY WILL START BACK OVER AT GREEN. THE COLOR THAT THEY ARE ON AT THE END OF THE DAY WILL BE RECORDING IN A CHART AND KEPT TRACK OF BY THE TEACHER.

WHEN YOU MOVE UP… THE STUDENT WILL MOVE UP ON THE CHART WHEN THEY MAKE GOOD CHOICES THE FIRST TIME THEY MOVE UP THEY WILL RECEIVE CLASS RECOGNITION (GREEN TO WHITE) SECOND TIME: TWO TICKETS INTO THE TICKET JAR (WHITE TO PINK) THIRD TIME: THREE TICKETS INTO THE TICKET JAR (PINK TO BLUE)

REWARD AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE TICKET MASTER WILL HAND OUT THE PROPER NUMBER OF TICKETS TO THE STUDENTS WHO ARE ON THE PINK AND BLUE SQUARES. THE STUDENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING THEIR OWN NAME ON THE TICKET AND PUTTING IT INTO THE JAR. AT THE END OF THE WEEK, TICKETS WILL BE DRAWN AND THOSE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO PICK FROM THE PRIZE JAR.
