 First inspection done in 2003

 Inspection 2008 – Fire Department In violation of the Fire Code – no fire separation in the attic area Possible fire separation issues with the crawl space as well  Relocated one tenant as soon as we had a suitable unit available to bring us into compliance  Second Inspection – August 2008 Engineers confirmed : The continued deterioration That the building did not meet fire codes of 2008 or1975 when built or 1985 when it was reconfigured And provided a Estimate of the cost to come into compliance

 SHRRP funding Possibility of a regeneration project  Third Inspection – July 9, 2009 Cost analysis of the different options Minimum repairs needed Additional improvements in addition to minimal repairs Demolish and rebuild  Board Approval to demolish and rebuild July 16, 2009

 Started the process for Ministerial Consent Fall of 2009 had an ESA I completed Compiled all the documents necessary  Complete package sent to Ministry in February 2010  Ministerial consent granted February 2011  Board approval of process March 2010

 Signed contract with SHSC for technical assistance in developing our Design/Build RFP, all site visits and the evaluation of the proposals 3 proposal submitted  Demolition started the middle of June 2011 with a rebuild completion date of December 15, 2011  Open house for Board members in December
