Yowza! It’s been a busy time of learning around here in the past 3 months!
A District “RESET” August Day Leadership Institute – Aligning our SIP with our new MMSD Framework SMART Goals in both Math & Reading; Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound MAP assessment as the metric for tracking improvement Specific Standards in Reading identified Specific Strategies and Steps Full Day Leadership Team Meeting Understanding goals and action steps based upon the new Framework & continuation of drafting the SIP

What Did We Learn Along the Way? We were nudged to look deeper at our data! O Number size matters – small N size= increasing our goal for both proficiency and growth O Advanced Learners’ Growth = requesting data from MMSD and drilling down to the student level to understand growth of kids using MAP

MAP Growth Target The average growth of students who were in the same grade and began the same term at a similar RIT score. It is nationally normed by NWEA and changes each season.
