eCommerce for Program Reg FAQ’s What Credit Cards are accepted? At this time, Discover, Master Card and Visa are currently the only accepted payment methods. How will Libraries get the money for these payments? eCommerce payments are credited to a single merchant account via SCLS. The money is dispersed to the appropriate library quarterly. What should we do if we need to refund a patron’s money? We can not credit money back to a patron at this time. Refunds will be made at the discretion of the individual library via their own financial arrangements. How much gets deducted from the total collected for service fees? Each online payment is subject to fees from the credit card company and the merchant bank. The fees vary based on the number of transactions being processed and the amount of each transaction, as well as by the type of Credit Card used. When SCLS distributes eCommerce payments, it is less the amount of these transaction fees.
