Do you know the role of each Team Member? Let’s Find Out You’ll Need Paper and Pencil.

Flip Chart Foldable: 1 st – Fold paper to make a “hot dog.” 2 nd - Make four slits on only the top flap of the paper. You can tear or cut these flips with scissors. 3 rd - Label the top of each flap with a Team Member Role (Leader, Reporter, Recorder, Timekeeper, Information Gatherer) 4 th -Hold on tight & Get ready to LEARN!

Copy the following definitions under the appropriate flap on your foldable

Leader- The “Leader” has the responsibility to facilitate and encourage participation in the group. They must also be the lead organizer.

Timekeeper- The Timekeeper monitors pace of meetings, and makes sure enough time has been allotted to complete each step of the task.

Reporter- The reporter is responsible for reporting the group’s accomplishments to the facilitator.

Recorder- The recorder keeps notes of important decisions, group responsibilities, and deadlines.

Information Gatherer- The information gatherer goes out and searches for information that will be important for the group.

Now- Let’s Put What We Have Learned into Action! The next two slides will explain your assignment!

*Your Group Assignment* 1 st - Each group will assign roles and responsibilities. 2 nd - Choose a novel from the list on the provided link. 3 rd - You have two weeks to read through the novel. Your team is responsible for deciding how many pages to read each night. The timekeeper has a very important role here! 4 th - You will have a literary discussion circle in class daily.
