2 BRAZIL Overview of Brazilian Education System Basic Education – 9 years (normally starting at the age of 6) – Public Schools – Municipality Medium Education – 3 years - State (some Federal Schools, generally related to Universities) Also Technical Education Superior Education – 5 years for Engineering – Federal Government In all levels – There is also a Private System

3 BRAZIL Overview of Brazilian Education System l Exam to enter in the University (Vestibular) l At the moment Engineering courses are requested by many students due to the economic growing l Courses like Law, Administration, Odontology and Communication are also very requested
