Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Your inner life of love is the essence of our communio Have mercy on us

Mary, loving Mother of the God-Man, Jesus, and of all people, Pray for us

St. Gabriel the Archangel, You brought God’s invitation to Mary and announced that Jesus would save us from our sins; you who are the patron saint of radio and telecommunications and of communication workers, Pray for us

St. Paul, you are the apostle who proclaimed Christ to all peoples through your example, preaching, and letters; you who are a patron saint of the Catholic press, and the patron saint of writers, Pray for us

St. Cecilia, You loved Jesus above all things; you brought joy to your family and friends in the faith through beautiful sounds, you who are the patron saint of music and musicians, Pray for us

St. Bernardine of Siena, You proclaimed Jesus to everyone you met; you spread the devotion to the Eucharist and to holy name of Jesus; you created a logo for Jesus’ name and you are the patron saint of those who work in public relations, Pray for us

St. Francis de Sales, you wrote many books about Jesus and how to live the spiritual life; you who are the patron saint of journalists and the good press, Pray for us

St. John Bosco, as a teenager you loved to have fun and would juggle and walk on a tight rope to get the attention of children so you could talk to them about Jesus; you are a patron saint for all those who advertise to get people’s attention. Help us to pay attention to the needs of others Pray for us

St. Matthew, the Apostle and Evangelist, you were a tax collector and are now considered the patron saint of accountants; help all accountants in the media world to be honest and just, and Pray for us

St. Luke the Evangelist, St. Catherine of Alexandria and Blessed Fra Angelico, you loved art and gave us images of what is true, good, and beautiful; you are the patrons of artists, Pray for us

St. Martin de Porres, St. Mary Magdalene and Venerable Pierre Toussaint, you are the patrons of hairdressers and therefore those who create special effects in media, Pray for us

St. Valentine, you are the patron saint of all those who send messages, especially those who send messages of love, joy, and goodness through cards, , movies, television, books, and video games that show goodness; you are also the patron of all of us who receive messages Pray for us

St. Barbara, we don’t know much about you, but tradition tells us that you are the patroness of mathematicians; math is the basis of all digital communications and digital entertainment Pray for us

St. Isidore of Seville, you wrote the world’s first encyclopedia and created the first “database” of information. Maybe someday you will be named the patron saint of the Internet. In the meantime, as we use the Internet in wisdom, honesty, charity, and goodness, Pray for us

St. Albert the Great, you are the patron saint of science and technology. Pray for all those who use science and technology to communicate information and entertainment stories to us, and Pray for us

St. Thomas Aquinas, you were a great thinker and philosopher; because of your great faith, there was never any question you were afraid of; give us the wisdom to always ask questions of the media so we can be mindful of media messages Pray for us

St. John Baptiste de la Salle, St. Catherine and St. Ursula, you are the patron saints of teachers. Guide all educators who teach us how to question media stories and advertisements, to choose movies, television programs, books, Internet sites and video games with care, and for all of us who are students, Pray for us

All Saints, You once lived among us and witnessed to the love of Christ for everyone in your own times. We now live in a media world. Show us the way to make thoughtful choices about the media, and to question the media stories we choose, so that we may find Jesus in our daily lives. Help us to be media mindful. All saints, Pray for us

Blessed James Alberione, you used the communications media to communicate good messages to the human family, especially the Good News of Jesus. As we hope for the day you will be named a saint, and maybe the patron saint of all the media and means of communication, Pray for us

Let us pray We praise you Most Holy Trinity for all the gifts of creation, beginning with light. Give us the light to see, the wisdom to ask questions, the love to find seeds of the Gospel in media stories, and the hope that the human family can gather around media stories in peace to talk about things that matter.

If I choose to use my creative gifts as a communicator one day, as a writer, actor, videographer, photographer, videogame maker, songwriter, musician, singer, dancer, or a priest or sister who uses media to communicate Your Word, give me the grace to be your true follower in all things, just as the saints followed you. Amen
