Introduction ☞E☞E☞E☞Electromagnetic induction: is the production of voltage across a conductor moving through a magnetic field. ☞M☞M☞M☞Michael faraday: is generally credited with the discovery of the induction incident in 1831 though it may have been anticipated by the work of Francesco Zantedeschi in 1829.

Electrical generator An electric generator is a device that converts M.E to electrical energy. A generator forces electrons in the windings to flow through the external electrical circuit. It is somewhat analogous to a water pump, which creates a flow of water. The source of M.E may be a turbine (steam engine).

Transformers A transformer is a static device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another through the transformer's coils. A varying current in the first or primary winding creates a varying magnetic flux in the transformer's core and thus a varying magnetic field through the secondary winding.
