THE DAWN OF TIME – SOUTH AMERICA SECEDES

900 BC – 1500 AD: INDIGENOUS PEOPLE Similar to North America, Brazil was originally inhabited by tribes of indigenous people, called the Tupi or Tupinamba Tribes spoke a common language but were constantly at war with other tribes; practice of cannibalistic rituals on captured enemies occurred Around 1MM Tupi existed around 1500 when the Portuguese began settling Mostly wiped out or assimilated, a few reservations of Tupi still exist
