 Topic: “Family Members”.  Level: Primary School.  Materials: -Teacher: Worksheets previously prepared. -Students White paper Scissors Crayons Colour pencils Glue INTRODUCTION  (Pictures if students want to include them).  Objectives: -Development: Learning New Vocabulary. Speaking Skills. Artistic Skills. Writing Skills. Reading Skills. Basic Grammar Learning.  Time: 90 minutes.

WARMING UP - Asking some questions to the students in order to introduce the topic that will be discussed. For example… (Different questions about students’ families) (No more than 10 minutes) (Speaking skills)

-Ask… “What do these images have in common?” (Different possible answers… Such as…)

EXPLANATION FOR THE PREVIOUS ACTIVITY The idea of showing different pictures related to family is to make the students understand that there are many types of families nowadays. Now, there is not just the old- fashion concept of family consisting of the parents and children. There are many different types of families and it does not mean that there is something wrong about them.

To start with, we can use an easy and fun activity, just to make the students remember the vocabulary related to the topic, or get used to the new vocabulary. PRE ACTIVITY (No more than 15 minutes) (Vocabulary acquisition)

In this activity, the student has to fill in the crossword puzzle which contain many words related to family members vocabulary. WHILE ACTIVITY 1 (No more than 15 minutes) (Vocabulary acquisition)

WHILE ACTIVITY 2 (No more than 20 minutes) In this activity the students have to complete the information required from the above family tree. (Basic grammar skills and reading comprehension)

POST ACTIVITY (No more than 40 minutes) Make your own family tree! They can include photos of their family and use their imagination to make a good job! (Artistic skills)

The students have to finish their family tree and bring it the next class in order to show it to the rest of the class. CONCLUDING (Speaking skills) (Next class)
