The Use of Robots Robots are used extensively in today’s world, from our kitchens to the factories where our vehicles are made.

What is a Robot? A robot by definition is a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer.

Popular Applications The 10 most popular robot applications in industry are as follows…

#1-Robotic Handling Operations These machines are used largely for metal machining and plastic moulding.

#2-Robotic Welding This includes arc welding and spot welding; major processes in automotive factories.

#3-Robotic Assembly Press-fitting, inserting, and assembly are all included in this category.

#4-Robotic Dispensing Painting and gluing, make up the majority of these operations.

#5-Robotic Processing Processing is a small segment of the robotic industry, its main uses are laser and water jet cutting.
