Presentation transcript:

BUSHCRAFT 2015 I will be putting all of this information on to the school website and VLE tomorrow so do not worry about having to remember it all. Please get to school as early as possible and come straight to the bus park GRASS AREA to load luggage on to vans and hand over any medication. We leave 9.00 Wednesday 20 th – register at bus park We return 5.30 Friday 23 rd (there will not be any school buses, you will need to arrange how you will get home.)

What to take? 1.You will need to take a sleeping bag and sleeping roll. These will go underneath your seat on the yellow buses on the way there. 2.You will need to make a large label for your bag. On this, you need to write your name and your camp number. I would use A4 paper and sellotape it on.

What you really need Old trainers. Old trainers to wear at night. Pyjamas (warm ones) 5 old t-shirts Old tracksuit bottoms Old shorts Tracksuit/trousers or shorts to keep dry for night time. Old jumper or hoodie x 2 Socks x5 and pants x3 Waterproof jacket. Towel and flannel for washing. Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, dry shampoo and or real shampoo, hair brush. Plastic bag for dirty clothes Torch Insect repellent Waterproof trousers if you have any.

Medicines Must be put in to a bag or box labelled with your name. A letter will be sent home regarding medicines. You will only be able to take medicines if this form says that you can e.g travel sickness tablets, hayfever tablets. Inhalers MUST be brought with you and labelled. One set must be handed in to the member of staff leading your camp.

Sweets, snacks, mobile phones, ipods etc NO sweets or snacks can be taken with you (unless you are diabetic – these will then be held by members of staff). You will be super full all of the time. Each 30 students has their own chef. You will eat a lot. No mobile phones, games, ipods etc can be taken with you. If you want to contact parents, you can do this through teachers on site. We will send texts home to parents.

Groupings There are 5 camps:- 2 for Y7 2 for Y8 1 for Y9 You will be divided in to tribes of up to 15. These will be a mixture of boys and girls. You will be divided in to tents of up to 12. These will be single sex only. You will get this information before you go AND this will tell you what bus you are on. Try not to lose this. I have also put a copy up in the canteen so that you can check if you forget.

Main aim Remember, the main aim of this is to do something really different. To forget mobile phones, facebook and other stresses and to have some real fun. This is not about keeping things the same as they are at home. This is about having an adventure that you will remember for ever. It is something that you will all be sharing together. The experience of a lifetime.
