Role of business school Many business schools are too focused on teaching or irrelevant research. Existing faculty policies and systems have caused too much emphasis on counting journal articles and favoured basic research over form of scholarship, such as contribution to practice and teaching AACSB, 2008, Final; Report on the AACSB International, Impact of Research.
