Cablesand Connectors It is important and necessary that ALL cables are coiled before being turned in.

XLR Cable: Microphone and Audio Boards

BNC Cable: Powers Studio cameras

USB (Universal Serial Bus) Cable: Moves Data from one device to another (Camera to Computer)

Firewire Cable: Moving audio and video specifically from a camera to computer. This has better quality than the USB

VGA (Video Graphics Array): Used for displays and monitors: TV or Computer.

Power Cable: Provides Power to the machine. Depending on the machine will determine the cable.

1/8” Audio Cable: Fits into headphone jacks. Used to capture music from computers.

¼” Audio Cable: Connects to amps and audio boards.

Composite Cables: Connects DVD and gaming systems to TV.  Yellow is Video  Red is Audio  White is the Universal Audio

Networking Cable: Provides internet.

Safety  Do NOT wrap body parts into any cable.  Do NOT use cables that are cut, frayed, or broken.  Turn OFF devices before unplugging them.  Unplug devices using the plug, not the cord.  Do NOT bend cord at anytime.  If at any point you see sparks, find a staff member and DO NOT TOUCH!
