Stowe was born in1811 and died in1896 She had 3 sisters and 5 brothers She married to Calvin Ellis Stowe in 1836 She first encountered slaver in Cincinnati in 1832 Had a servant girl who she thought was a freed slave until her previous owner started hunting for her, her brother drove the girl to a friend’s house overnight to hide
