Overview Vangstad City Flood Protection Project Heat Plant Replacement Wellness Center: Force Main Project Other

Vangstad In the last month, the following progress has been made: –Concrete has been poured in all of the basement rooms up to the new entrance. –Interior basement walls have been insulated. –The 2x6 supports have been built in the hallways in the basement. –Change orders for the general contractor continue to impede progress on the project, however the other contractors continue to move forward.

City Flood Protection Project All trees along College Street have been removed. The week after Graduation, College Street from 2 nd Avenue-3 rd Avenue and across the intersection will be closed to move the water lines. BEK successfully relocated their lines from the north to south side of the street. In the near future we will need to start closing parking lots to allow the contractor to dig in the footings for the wall. Viking Drive will be reopened for Graduation.

Heat Plant Replacement ONE has been onsite to discuss the project. JLG has been hired as the architect for the project. Legend Technical Services has been onsite to start asbestos/lead testing in the Power House and Metals Lab. Work has started on housing buy outs for the new plant footprint.

Wellness Center Thank you to everyone who helped move equipment/materials from the shop. Because of you the project was able to start on schedule. The tennis court has already been removed. There will be one entrance to the shop until this phase of the project is complete.

Other Projects Circle Hall –A proposal has been sent to the Campus Beautification Committee for approval President’s House Retaining Wall McFarland 1 st Floor Stabilization Track Repair –No repairs will be made until next summer at the earliest Field House Addition
