Palm Sunday Redeemer Lutheran Church Sunday, April 17 th

Welcome to Redeemer! During the coming Holy Week we’ll be saddened at the visible consequence of our sin, but thankful for the grace that causes Jesus to live for us. Today we see Jesus ride into Jerusalem in victory as the blessed King worthy of praise.

For Our Guests If you have questions, let us try to help. Speak with an usher, greeter, or the person next to you. If you’d like to learn more about Redeemer and its ministry, please talk to Pastor Wolfe or a church member after the service.

Children’s Message Each week, our younger worshipers are invited to the front of church before the sermon hymn to hear a special message for them from Pastor Wolfe.

Hymn CW # Verses 1- Text: Setting: Tune:

Verse 1:

Pastor: Blessed Lord, you have given us your Holy Scriptures for our learning. May we so hear them, read, learn, and take them to heart, that being strengthened and comforted by your Holy Word, we may cling to the blessed hope of everlasting life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. All: Amen.

Pastor: Almighty God, grant to your Church the Holy Spirit and the wisdom that comes from above. Let nothing hinder your Word from being freely proclaimed to the joy and edifying of Christ’s holy people, so that we may serve you in steadfast faith and confess your name as long as we live, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. All: Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord look on you with favor and give you peace. All: Amen. The Blessing
