MOVE, GROW, and BE GREEN with The DC Department of Parks and Recreation works to enhance the quality of life and wellness of DC residents and visitors by providing equal access to affordable and quality recreational services, by organizing programs, activities, and events. The vision for DPR is to be the national leader in urban recreation and parks administration, and to be the primary source of leisure activity for residents of the District. MOVE, GROW, and BE GREEN with Programmatic Partnerships Programmatic Partners criteria 501c(3) non-profit organizations that provide creative, innovative programming at DPR recreation centers The program must be offered free for the participants, have an open enrollment process (meaning that the participants are not pre-selected), and be at no cost to DPR Must have their own Certificate of Insurance (COI) Staff must be cleared through the DPR Volunteer Process which includes MPD Background checks Current Programmatic Partnerships with DPR include: After school programs (College Bound, City Kids Wilderness, CNMC) Youth athletic programs (Serve Your City, Playworks, National Rehab) Senior health and wellness programs (New Life, East of the River, Medstar) Creative arts programs (Step Afrika, DC Fashion) Summer programs (Achieve TriAthalon, Diamond Dream Foundation)
