Athens – Sifnos / 79 miles day 1 Sifnos Sifnos is a beautiful green island within the Western Cyclades island group. Mythology has it that the island got its name from its first settler, Sifnos, who was the son of the hero Sounio. The capital of the island, Apollonia, is located almost in the center. Castro is the old capital of the island. Here you can visit the Venetian citadel and a small archaeological museum. The best beaches are at Faros but Kastro and Platys Gialos are also popular.

Sifnos – Santorini / 54 miles day 2 Santorini Santorini is located in the south Aegean Sea and is a part of the Cycladic group of islands. Today, many historians and scientists think that Atlantis was in present day Santorini or Crete and that the natural disaster was actually the eruption of Santorini volcano. The island offers so much to do that you could ideally spend your entire Greece vocation here taking advantage of the wealth of options. We suggest visiting Akrotiri, an ancient town that was buried when the volcano erupted 3500 years ago, the ancient settlement of Thira and the towns Oia and Fira. In Fira a folklore museum and a citadel from the Middle Ages are worth a visit. The popular beaches are Kamari, Perissa, Monolithos, Vlichada, Agios Georgios and Amoudi.

Santorini – Ios / 26 miles day 3 Ios Ios lies on the southern side of the Cyclades, between Naxos and Santorini. The capital of the island, Ios town (Hora) is a picturesque town of typical Cycladic architecture with white- washed houses, quaint chapels, narrow alleyways, mills and stone staircases. The island’s pride is the tomb of Homer. The local legend has it that he wanted to be buried on Ios since his mother was from here. The island has a vivid night life. The most popular beaches are Mylopotas beach, Yialos and Koubaras.

Ios – Paros / 37 miles day 4 Paros Paros is located in the centre of the Cyclades between Naxos, Mykonos, Ios, Sifnos and Syros. The island takes its name from Paros, the leader of the Arcadians, who went there in the 10 th century BC. Paros has everything to offer to the visitors: beautiful landscapes, lovely beaches with crystal clear water, picturesque harbors, archaeological sites and numerous churches, chapels and monasteries. We suggest visiting the Church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani (Our Lady of a Hundred Gates), the remains of the ancient temple to Apollo, the famous Aesclepio and the Venetian Citadel in Naousa. The island has many beautiful beaches and is famous for its wines and white marble.

day 5 Paros – Mykonos / 21 miles Mykonos Mykonos which is often called the “Ibiza of Greece” is a beautiful island in the Cyclades. According to mythology, this was where Heracles killed the giants. The town Chora is the place you should really explore. Here you can see the windmills, the Parapotiani church, the main square of Chora “Laka” and the museums. There are lots of water sports offered in Mykonos, as well as diving and horse riding. The most popular beaches are Platy Gialos, Psarou, Elia and Super Paradise. The island is famous for its unique nightlife.

day 6 Mykonos – Kea / 54 miles Kea Kea is a small mountainous island in Cyclades. The most famous sight on the island is the Lion of Kea, or Lionda. We also suggest visiting the monastery of Panagia Kastriani which dates back to the 18 th century, the ancient acropolis in Ioulis and the remains of temples in Korissia. Kea has many exceptional beaches and just to mention a few, there is Otzias, Koundouros and Korissia.

day 7 Kea – Athens / 40 miles Athens Athens, the capital of Greece, is the birthplace of Western civilization. Athens is a city with a wide variety of things to see and do. The first place you should visit is, of course, the Parthenon. Other archaeological sites include the agora, the market, with the temple to Hephaistos, the temple to Zeus and the arch of Hadrian. At the Syntagma Square you can visit the Tomb of the Unknown soldier. The colorful Plaka neighborhood is also worth a visit. Athens is also famous for its nightlife. The most popular beaches are in Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza, Nea Makri, Crysi Akti, Lagonisi, Kavouri and Alimos.
