AVCOT 17 instructional class days (~25 days in Pensacola) 8 Courses per year –Aligned with Aviation Safety for Command (ASC) 19 students per class (Average) –Additional students beyond 19 need to be approved via ASC Course Manager

Seminars Flag Seminar (Guest Flag Officer) Leadership brief offered by a distinguished guest. Command Welcome, (NASC CO), Leadership in the Naval Aviation Environment. Executive Officer's Perspective, (NASC XO), Leadership in the Naval Aviation Environment. CMC Welcome, (NASC CMC), CMC leadership in the Naval Aviation Environment. Professional Military Education (PME) Commander Naval Air Forces N5 (CNAF N5). How professional Military Education can further careers and help in the development and promotion of junior officers. Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) Support to Naval Aviation (ONI-SPEAR). A brief from the Office of Naval Intelligence’s SPEAR (Air Warfare) on support to naval aviation.

Navy Courses Military Justice for Senior Officers Course: (S-5F-0011) –Mobile Training Team (MTT) from the Naval Justice School Newport, RI. –On behalf of the Naval Justice School, welcome to the Senior Officer Course in Military Justice and Civil Law. This course has been offered at worldwide locations since Participants regularly give the course outstanding marks for increasing awareness of current legal issues and promoting efficiency in handling legal matters. Per NAVADMIN 302/12, this course is required for all Navy captains en route to command. In addition, the course is highly encouraged for all Commanding Officers, Executive Officers, and Officers-in-Charge as well as other officers O-4 and above on a space- available basis. The course curriculum is based on familiarization with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, administrative fact-finding bodies, administrative separation procedures, the court-martial process, standards of conduct and government ethics, and various other policies relating to a command's administration of legal matters.

Navy Courses Military Justice for Senior Officers Course (Cont.): (S-5F-0011) –Newport curriculum adapted to include: Family Advocacy Program Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) (FFSC Pensacola) Aviation Line Officer’s Legal Perspective (NASC CO) NETC Inspector General (IG) (NETC IG) NLSO/RLSO (Local JAGS) Mental Health Evaluations (MHE) (Local JAGS) –AVCOT students will be joined by personnel from other communities (USMC, IW, BUMED, etc.)

Navy Courses Alcohol Drug Abuse Managers and Supervisors for Leaders: –(ADAMS) (S ). An overview of ADAMS, the Navy’s drug and alcohol prevention program, current trends in substance abuse, and the commanding officer’s responsibilities. –Mobile Training Team from the Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) –AVCOT students will be joined by personnel from other communities Aviation Safety for Command: (ASC) (C-4J-3301) –A six day course designed to indoctrinate aviation squadron commanding officers, executive officers, officers-in-charge, and officers screened for command in the policies, philosophy, and techniques of an effective command safety program. Incorporated within this course is senior member training which will qualify the graduate to be a senior member of an aircraft mishap board. –AVCOT students will be joined by personnel from other communities

Navy Courses Aviation Commanding Officer Anti-Terrorism Training: –(AVCOAT) (A-1B-0030). An instruction designed to expose commanders to security and anti-terrorism procedures. –Mobile Training Team from the Center for Security Forces –AVCOT students will be joined by personnel from other communities Joint Aviation Supply and Maintenance Material Management: –(JASMMM) (A-8B-0037). An introduction to and overview of aviation support procedures in a lecture designed for commanding officers.
