Why doesn’t God want us to worry?

What is the root cause of worry for a Christian?  The root of anxiety is unbelief, the anxiety that we feel is ultimately caused by a lack of trust in God.  “Worry is a form of atheism, for it betrays a lack of faith and trust in God.” Attributed to Bishop Fulton J. Sheen.
