Addressing Colleges with Multiple ASO/ASG’s  How Does the Education Code Address it?  How Does the S.S.C.C.C. Address it?  How Do Other Regions Address it?  Reasons Why we should

The Education Code: 76060: The governing board of the community college district may authorize the students of a college to organize more than one student body association when the governing board finds that day students and evening students each need an association or geographic circumstances make the organization of only one student body association impractical or inconvenient.

S.S.C.C.C.: Constitution- Article I: Section 1. Constituency: All community college students shall be represented by the SSCC and may fully participate in accordance with the provisions set forth in the constitution and Bylaws.

S.S.C.C.C.: Constitution- Article III Section 2 Sub-section (b) Each community college associated student body organization, pursuant to the Education Code, Section , shall have one voting delegate at a general assembly.

Region IX : Article III Section 1. Constituency Sub-Section (a). All SSCCC Region IX community college students shall be represented by the Region IX Student Senate and may fully participate in accordance with the provisions set forth in the constitution and bylaws.

Region VII : ARTICLE III: Section 1 Member Colleges: All college student governments within Region VII as defined by the Student Senate for California Community Colleges, or its successor, are members of Region VII.

Region III : Article 4: Section 1. Constituency Definition All Region III community college students shall be represented by the Region III Council and may fully participate in accordance with the provisions set forth in the constitution and bylaws. Section 2. List of California Community Colleges in Region III: (Just lists their colleges)

Region II : Article 3: Section 1. Constituency All SSCCC Region II community college students shall be represented by SSCCC Region II and may fully participate in accordance with the provisions set forth as defined in this Constitution and adjoining Bylaws. Section 2. Membership Membership of SSCCC Region II shall consist of those colleges designated by the SSCCC,and as listed in the Bylaws.

Reasons we should go off ASO/ASG’s instead of Colleges Diversity: We will bring in more people, because if a school has multiple ASO/ASG’s it’s because they had to be made from the diversity. Representation:
