The Important Thing About Shapes Written by: K. Gooding

The important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. A 2-dimensional shape has length and width. A polygon is a 2-dimensional shape with 3 or more sides. A triangle is a polygon with 3 sides and 3 angles. A quadrilateral is a polygon with 4 sides and 4 angles. But the important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. length width square rhombus length width triangle 3 angles

The important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. Polygons and quadrilaterals are all around us. A rectangle is a quadrilateral with 4 sides and 4 right angles for corners. A square is a quadrilateral with 4 equal sides and 4 right angles. Windows, chalkboards, and floor tiles are quadrilaterals. But the important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. rectangle Right angle square Right angle 4 equal sides

The important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. But the important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. A 3-dimensional shape has length, width, and height. A rectangular prism is a 3- dimensional shape with 6 faces that are each a rectangle. A block, a brick, and a box are rectangular prisms.

The important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. But the important thing about a geometric shape is that it can be 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. Both 2-dimensional and 3- dimensional shapes can be symmetric. Symmetric shapes have a line of mirror symmetry. The shape is exactly the same on both sides of the line.
