What is the Time Commitment for each? Certificate: 1 year or less full time study Diploma: 2 years of full time study Applied Degree: 4 year program (6 semesters academic,2 industry) Degree: 4 – 9 years of full time study (depending on level of degree earned)

Degree Options University Transfer Programs o First 2 years of degree-level program can be earned at many different colleges up to 60 credits o Must transfer to accredited university/college for last two years o Pros: smaller classes, lower tuition fees, lower entry GPA Bachelor Degree Programs o Provide direct access to graduate students o Found at universities, specific colleges, private university colleges with approved degree programs o Commitment of 3-4 years of fulltime study

Provincial Certificate Programs The first step to becoming an apprentice is finding a job. This is like any other job search, except you are looking for an employer who is willing to hire you as an apprentice in a trade. Apprenticeship usually begins with a period of work followed by an in-school technical training session.
