Five a day 5 a day it is a NON-PROFIT ASSOCIATION which its purpose consists of promoting the daily consumption of FRUITS AND FRESH VEGETABLES. His name is based on the minimal share of daily consumption of FRUITS AND FRESH VEGETABLES recommended by the scientific and medical community on a healthy diet.

Their objetives The aims are: - To report on the benefits for the health of the daily consumption of at least 5 shares of fruits and fresh vegetables. - To influence the improvement of the food habits of our company. - To spread the message ' Fruits and Vegetables: 5 a day! Good for the health ' - To increase the consumption per capita of fruits and fresh vegetables of the population up to reaching the advisable level.

5 a day in Spain The 16% of the children in Spain are obese, this means that we occupy the second place of the European ranking, just overcome by Cyprus. They are present in more than schools for teach to the children about 6 to 12 years ago how to eat more vegetables and fruit. The educational psychologist think that between this ages the children establish their food habits.

What is the obesity? The obesity is a chronic disease that is characterized by the excess of fat in the organism and appears when the Index of Corporal Mass in the adult is major of 30 ( weigh in Kg / height x 2 in m). But it is the most frequent nutritional disease in the developed countries. Because of it in the middle of the 80`s in Australia set up the association of "5 a day ". Because the people eat few fruits and vegetables.

How to avoid the obesity? First, the food habits must be re-educated, increase the physical activity and avoid the sedentary lifestyle, these are some of the indications that we advise you to anticipate the obesity.

Risks of the obesity The obesity increases the risk of a person of suffering diseases and death due to diabetes, cerebro-vascular accident, cardiopathy, hypertension, high cholesterol, as well as diseases of the kidney and the bladder. The obesity can increase the risk of development of some types of cancer and equally it is a factor of risk for the development of Banana and apnea of the dream

Conclusion As you can see, the fruits and vegetables has less calories and more carbohydrates so they are better, because if you eat fruits an vegetables you don’t put on weight very much and obtain sufficient energy. The meat and fish give to you more proteins and lipids but they have lot of calories, so you put on weigh earlier.
