METU DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION SCHOOLS

METU DF Schools is a private school under the foundation of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara. It was established in 1989 and since then it has reached to a number over 2000 students and 300 staff.

OUR VISION: To be among the leading schools in Turkey and to be well-known in the international arena.

OUR MISSION: To train our students as individuals who are faithful to Atatürk’s principles and who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values essential to contemporary life in the environments where development of individual traits is attached importance and where opportunities of self realization are created.

The Turkish Education System is governed by the Ministry of National Education. includes pre-school, primary, middle and high school education. is compulsory for every Turkish citizen from the age of five to the age of eighteen.

ions Strategic Plan In the light of the vision and mission statement, the strategic plan is prepared by the school managers. The strategic plan is our guide to show us how to reach our vision. The strategic plan is revised every three years Every year it is reappraised according to the yearly reports from the departments. The strategic plan consists of main aims, targets, operations and plans. The indicators of performance tell us whether we have reached the determined targets or not. The startegic plan is followed by the departments and managers and checked periodically every school term.
