Objectives Students will be able to identify different characteristics of polygons. Students will be able to draw and identify a polygon.
Instructional Strategies 1. Students will watch a brainpop video on polygons at brainpop.com under subject Math and category Geometry. 2. Students will research on the website about different polygons. They will fill out a graphic organizer by drawing each of the shapes and listing the characteristics of each shape.

Assessments Students will take the brainpop quiz on polygons at brainpop.com and the results to teachers address. Students will design a poster out of polygons and list how many of each shape they used with the names of the shapes on the back of their posters.
