Mission : LTSD school counseling department provides a comprehensive and developmental school counseling program that addresses academic, career and personal/social needs of each student. In partnership with our schools, families and community, the school counselors support and inspire students to reach their fullest potential

K-12 Components: Individual/Group Counseling Classroom –based Guidance Lessons Crisis Intervention Academic Planning & Advisement High Stakes Testing Student File Management Consultation/Collaboration with Parents, Staff, Community & Business Partners Postsecondary & Career Counseling Services

Ways we connect with kids: Elementary : 30 –minute Guidance Lessons - 2x’s times per month – every classroom (Bullying, Learning Styles, Career Awareness, PSSA Prep, D&A Prevention, Conflict Resolution) Lunch Bunches – 3 sessions per day per counselor Lancer Code Training – 2x’s per year – all 700 kids Small Group Conflict Resolution Daily Individualized Counseling Sessions Orientation/Transition Programming (K, New, 5/6) Career Expo – (Grades 2-5) Parent Communication
