Plants James Southard

Living things. They grow and die. They produce young. They eat.

Meanings. Germinate means that it is starting to grow. A nutrient is a substance.

Difference. A fruit is a flower. A vegetable is a root. And the seeds are in the fruit.

Plant parts. The flower holds the pollen and eggs. The stems act like a straw and suck up water. The leaf makes food for the plant. And the roots are like tiny plumbing system.

Pollination. Pollination is impotent because it helps the plant grow. And with out pollination plants could not a would not grow. Animals help pollination and carry the seeds in there fur and wings.

Seeds moving? Seeds move in different ways then people do. Some seeds travel in wind. Others travel on rivers, streams, and lakes. And as crazy as it sounds some shoot there own seeds thru the air.

Plants helping. Plants help us too the give us food. They also make oxygen. And they provide habitats for animals.
