+ Responsibilities Show RESPECT towards all staff members and others in school Use respectful and appropriate language when talking to others Avoid disruptive behavior in classrooms and hallways Keep the volume down and avoid talking if the teacher is talking Be seated at all times Protect and Respect school property

+ DRESS CODE Clothing that is revealing or suggestive may not be worn. Shirts must have sleeves (cover shoulders). Appropriate length for pants, shorts, skirts and dresses should be mid-thigh to knee length. Hats, caps, sunglasses or beach wear may not be worn inside the school building. Other inappropriate school attire includes clothing with vulgar, violent, profane, or suggestive messages or pictures of illegal substances and alcoholic beverages. Any piercing, other than single ear piercing, shall be left unadorned while at school. AVOID Responsibilities

+ ELECTRONICDEVICES Electronic devices (such as cell phones and portable music players) are allowed before and after school as well as during break or lunch, however, are not allowed in classrooms or hallways. Food and drinks only in the cafeteria area. Never gum. Backpacks and bulky items are to stay in the lockers. Responsibilities

+ Be on time, no excuses. Only THREE tardies are allowed per semester, per subject If a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to make up for the work within 3 school days Responsibilities

+ 6 th grade students will learn: Word Processing Basic concepts and skills to produce reports, newsletters, brochures, and tables. Graphing Graphs/charts to be used as a complement for the documents produced in word processing. Slideshows Professional-looking presentations that include images, text items, sound, etc.
