prop-097: Global Policy for post exhaustion IPv4 allocation mechanisms by the IANA This proposal describes the process that IANA will follow to allocate IPv4 resources to Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) after the central pool of addresses is exhausted 6 May 2012 GPP-IPv ratified by the ICANN Board 5

Activation of Recovered Address Pool Tuesday, 20 May 2014 –LACNIC's announced its IPv4 inventory had reached less than a /9 triggering the activation of IANA's Recovered Pool of addresses. –An IPv4 allocation period is defined as a 6-month period following 1 March or 1 September in each year (first working day) Friday, 23 May 2014 –Following advice provided by the ASO AC, IANA immediately made the first distribution Tuesday, 27 May 2014 –Prop-105 implemented at APNIC 6

Initial round of delegations to APNIC APNIC received the following recovered IPv4 address blocks / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /16 The address space selection was made using software that tries to allocate address space in a way that takes account of the existing delegations

Second round of delegations to APNIC Wednesday, 3 September 2014 –APNIC received the following recovered IPv4 address block /12 Next Round –Monday, 1 March

prop-107: AS number transfer policy proposal Aims: This policy permits ‘market’ transfers of AS Numbers both intra- and inter-region. Proposal: Same criteria as existing “prop-50” IPv4 transfers. However, requires another RIR to pass policy to allow Inter-regional transfers. Status: Implemented Wednesday, 16 April 2014.
